A: Ru-Ir (Ruthenium-Iridium) is specifically designed for Chlorine Evolution environments (saltwater, brine, seawater). Ir-Ta (Iridium-Tantalum) is designed for Oxygen Evolution environments (sulfuric acid, plating). Using Ru-Ir in an oxygen evolution application will lead to rapid failure.
